This is a roughly chronological collection of studies about the Israelites' time in the wilderness, between the end of the book of Exodus and the beginning of the book of Joshua.
The Israelites, as we know, wandered in the wilderness for forty years, before they were permitted to enter Canaan. But the book of Exodus ends only a year into this forty year journey. We have much more to learn from the story of the Israelites learning to love and trust God.
This study will allow us to continue the story that we began in Genesis, and continued to follow through Exodus. It involves roughly chronological excerpts from Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. I hope that tudying these passages will help us continue to develop a sense of the history and chronology of the Old Testament. Additionally, many of these events are referenced in the rest of the Bible. So studying these stories will (hopefully) help us to better understand God's relationship with His original chosen people, the Israelites. Since the Christain church has inherited this relationship, it's important for us today to understand the original one! Many of these stories are entirely fascinating in their own right, so I hope you enjoy these studies.
I will list both the worksheets for the study and samples of possible completed worksheets. There are plenty of correct answers, and I could always be wrong, so don't take them as definitive! Note also that I have made heavy use of the Seventh-day Adventist Bible commentaries in these responses.
